British Chancellor of the Exchequer asks his citizens to make sacrifices

Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt urged the British population to make sacrifices against the backdrop of the highest inflation in the country over the past 40 years.

In an interview with Sky News, Hunt said: “We will be asking everyone to make sacrifices, but I think that in a just society like the UK, it should be recognized that we cannot demand from many people with low incomes.”

The minister indicated that the new government had made it a priority to achieve a reduction in inflation, which was the highest in forty years.

“I’m afraid we will all pay more taxes,” he added.

Hunt previously accused Russia of causing Britain’s economic downturn by creating a new world situation with a military operation in Ukraine.
