Borussia Dortmund told the truth about the negotiations with Ronaldo

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has revealed that his team is close to signing Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo in the current summer transfer period.

And global network CBS Sports confirmed in a report released yesterday Thursday that Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes of Portugal has already entered into talks with Borussia Dortmund officials regarding the Manchester United striker.

For its part, the German newspaper Bild said in a report that Ronaldo is keen to move to Borussia Dortmund before the end of this summer Mercato.

“I love this player, of course it would be great to see him play at Signal Iduna Park,” Watzke said.

“On the other hand, at the moment there has been no contact between the parties involved, we must stop such rumors,” he added.

Cristiano Ronaldo is looking for a new club after asking Manchester United to let him go a year before his contract expired because he wanted to play in the Champions League.

Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, took part in Manchester United’s first two matches of the new English Premier League season, in which the Red Devils lost 1-2 to Brighton and host Brentford 4-0.
