The Bloomberg Billionaires Index showed that American billionaire businessman Elon Musk topped the ranking of the 500 richest people on the planet with a fortune of $ 234 billion.
According to statistics released today, Monday, Musk’s net worth increased by $96.6 billion in the first half of 2023.
In second place is French billionaire and businessman Bernard Arnault, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Louis Vuitton, a luxury goods group.
Collectively, the wealth of the world’s 500 richest people increased by $852 billion in the first half of 2023.
“Each participant in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index has earned an average of $14 million per day over the past 6 months,” the rating commentary says.
Musk, Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg (up $58.9 billion) and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos ($47.4 billion) topped the rankings in terms of wealth growth.
