Arsenal Secures Second Win in Premier League with 1-0 Victory over Crystal Palace

Introduction

Arsenal, who had been playing for about half an hour with ten players, picked up their second straight win since the start of the new Premier League season, beating Crystal Palace 1-0 at the end of the second stage on Monday.

Arsenal’s Strong Start

Arsenal got off to a strong start and attacked the Crystal Palace goal furiously through the attacking trio of Bukayo Saka, the Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli and the heart of the attack, Eddie Nketiah.

Arsenal’s Winning Goal

After Crystal Palace held out for the entire first half, Arsenal managed to score the only goal of the match when the referee awarded them a penalty. Nketiah was blocked in the area by Crystal Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnston, and the Norwegian Martin Odegaard successfully approached her in the 54th minute.

Tomiyasu’s Dismissal

Arsenal lost the efforts of their Japanese right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu, receiving a second yellow card in the 67th minute, so his team ended the match with ten men.

Premier League Campaign

Arsenal, who finished second last season, kicked off their Premier League campaign with a 2-1 home win over Nottingham Forest. They now have six points, equal to the other two teams, and finished third on goal difference with league leaders Brighton and second-placed Manchester City last season.
