The US Department of Justice said the American couple confessed to trying to provide material support to the terrorist organization ISIS and join its ranks.
The department said Arwa Muthana, 30, of Hoover, Alabama, confessed to trying to provide material support to ISIS, and her husband James Bradley, known as Abdullah, 21, confessed last Friday to the same charge.
According to the court, Bradley and Muthanna are ISIS supporters and have tried to travel to the Middle East to join and fight within the organization, indicating that Bradley has been expressing violent extremist views since at least 2019, including his desire to support ISIS by traveling abroad to join its ranks.
