Deputy of the Zaporozhye District Council Vladimir Rogov said that the liberated Zaporizhzhya region would declare its independence within the existing administrative boundaries following the results of a referendum on joining Russia.
In response to a question about the boundaries of independence, which will be determined by the results of the referendum, Rogov said: “In the entire Zaporozhye province, of course, it could not be otherwise, in all the administrative boundaries of the Zaporozhye region.”
He added that 73% of the territory of Zaporozhye has been liberated, and the main city, the regional center of Zaporozhye on the right bank of the Dnieper, is still under Ukrainian control.
