German police said on Sunday that an Italian girl died when a 200-kilogram stone statue fell on her at a hotel in Munich.
Police said a 7-year-old boy was hit by a 200-kilogram (440-pound) statue in the courtyard of a hotel Friday night.
Those who arrived at the scene managed to free the girl and call emergency services, but she later died in a Munich hospital.
It is unclear why the statue fell, as police have confirmed that an investigation is underway.
