On Thursday, our correspondent reported that 14 people were injured in a landslide in the Ein Gedi area on the road to the Dead Sea east of Israel, citing reports of people trapped.

Israeli Police Respond to Landslide

An Israeli police spokesman said police had received preliminary reports of a landslide near the Nahal David nature reserve, near Ein Gedi, in which several people were injured.

“Police forces are dispatched to the scene, including rescue units, the air force and rescue teams,” he added.

The spokesman confirmed that “military helicopters, escorted by 669 units and medical workers from the Valley Brigade, flew to the Nahal David area in the Ein Gedi area to help rescue the trapped.”
