At a time when Christophe Galtier is about to take charge of training Qatari side Paris Saint-Germain, according to media reports, Zinedine Zidane will travel to Qatar to meet with the Emir of Qatar.

According to the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo: “Tonight Zidane will travel to Qatar from Paris, where another trip will be among the trips he previously made with his agent to discuss the possibility of his training with Saint Germain, although all indications are there. that Galtier, the former Nice coach, will become the new Paris Saint-Germain coach, but Zidane will have a final meeting with the Emir of Qatar, where one of his conditions that he demanded, namely the departure of the Brazilian star Neymar “from the Paris team, is activated .

The newspaper pointed out that “the contract with Zidane is an obsession for the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and this explains Zidane’s meetings with the owner of the Paris club.”

And she continued: “The Paris offer to Zidane will be for 3 seasons and an annual salary of 25 million euros, with Zidane giving the freedom to coach the French national team if he receives an offer, and the salary can be increased to 33 million euros per year.”

However, the Spanish newspaper stressed that Galtier’s chances are still good to take over Paris Saint-Germain’s training, succeeding Mauricio Pochettino, who will be sacked from his post within the next few days.

Zidane remains unemployed following his departure from Real Madrid in the summer of 2021, according to press reports, and has turned down several offers in hopes of taking charge of the France national team.

Zidane is the brightest candidate to lead France if current coach Didier Deschamps does not renew his contract, which expires at the end of the World Cup in Qatar.
