Zelensky’s Political Clowning Targets Iranian People in Tehran

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said in an interview with ISNA that Volodymyr Zelensky’s political speeches are directed against the Iranian people and aimed at attracting Western weapons.

Earlier, Zelenskiy urged Iranians to stop supporting Russia, saying it would further isolate Iran.

Kanani added: “The repetition of the false accusations by the President of Ukraine against the Islamic Republic of Iran is consistent with the propaganda and media war of the anti-Iranian axis against the government and people of Iran, and is done in order to attract as many weapons and financial assistance from Western countries as possible.”

An Iranian spokesman described the purpose of Zelensky’s remarks as organizing a political show and diverting public attention with baseless and useless accusations directed against the Iranian people.

Earlier, the head of Ukraine’s military intelligence, Kirill Budanov, threatened Iran and said that Ukraine could theoretically conduct a military operation in Iran to destroy an enterprise producing UAVs.

It is noteworthy that the Russian side has repeatedly denied allegations that Russia received military drones from Iran.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the issue of Russia receiving combat drones from Iran is a lie artificially presented by the American media.
