Zelensky: More than 1.5 million residents of the Odessa region were left without electricity

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that more than 1.5 million residents of the Odessa region were left without electricity, and the energy system of Ukraine “is very far from normal.”

He stated that the area was only connected to vital infrastructure and stressed that the bombing was critical and that it would take several days to restore part of the power supply.

He added that the energy system in Ukraine is “very far from normal” and that its full restoration in the country is now impossible, and “for this reason, electricity rationing continues in most cities and regions.”
And previous reports have reported that electricity has been completely cut off in the northern Sumy region, while a number of other regions, including Vinnytsia and Krvorozhskaya, are experiencing partial blackouts.

And Ukrainian authorities had previously issued an air alert state in most regions where explosions and power outages were heard on Monday afternoon.

Ukrainian media reported “several waves of missile strikes” across the country as air defense and aviation activity was recorded in at least 7 regions, including Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Dnepropetrovsk and Poltava.

On October 10, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, Russian troops began bombing Ukrainian infrastructure.
