Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the drone attack against Kyiv on Sunday evening was one of the largest attacks on the city.
Earlier, the head of the military administration of the city, Sergei Popko, said that on Sunday night, Kyiv was subjected to the largest attack by drones since the beginning of the special operation.
“Today, our country was subjected to one of the largest Russian attacks using Shahid drones (Shahid 136),” Zelensky said in a video message, adding that “at the same time, 54 drones carried out attacks.” Noting that a number of injuries occurred in the Zhytomyr region.
On Sunday evening, an air raid alert was issued across much of Ukraine, with Ukrainian media reporting a series of powerful explosions in Kyiv. And also in Zhytomyr, Sumy and Cherkasy regions of Ukraine. Later, the Kiev administration also reported on social networks that a fire broke out on the territory of one of the enterprises in the Goloseevsky district.
