Zelensky called the amount needed to restore Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has estimated the amount needed to rebuild Ukraine at around $600-800 billion, the exact amount to be determined after the cessation of hostilities.

This is stated in his appeal to the Association of French Employers (an employers’ organization founded in 1998, representing French companies), where the Ukrainian president continued, quoting the 5.ua channel: in Lugano (Switzerland) “And we announced this, and we said that we think the destruction was of this magnitude with confirmed analyses. And to get everything back, that’s what we need.”

Zelensky also pointed out that it is difficult to determine the exact amount at the moment, as the fighting is not yet over, and it is not known exactly how much money will be needed, noting that it is necessary to focus on “urgent matters, such as restoring part of the infrastructure, including educational institutions, ports and transport facilities and residential buildings.

And the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal called in mid-March to help support the Ukraine Recovery Fund, saying that $500 billion is needed, and Zelensky said during a round table as part of the spring session of the Council of the International Monetary Fund, April last year, Ukraine, according to preliminary estimates, lost 550 billion dollars.
