Zakharova commented on the change in the name of the British Embassy in Moscow

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on the change in the address of the British Embassy to its location in the center of Moscow after the authorities renamed the embassy square to “Luhansk Republic”.

“Facing with reality is painful for a British politician (Johnson) and looking behind the glass,” Zakharova said in a post, asking if British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, after leaving Downing Street (the prime minister’s residence), would still use the old title. .

In addition, the British Embassy in Moscow announced on its website the new address where the embassy is located, instead of the new name given by the Moscow authorities as “Luhansk People’s Republic Square”.

Moscow decided to call the “Luhansk People’s Republic” on the square near the British Embassy.

Previously, residents of the Russian capital chose the name “Donetsk People’s Republic Square” to refer to the square near the US embassy in the city, which also prompted the US embassy in Moscow to remove the address from its website and only provide the coordinates of its location.
