zaish "Atlantic lion" Return to the Moroccan national team

New Morocco coach Walid Regragui announced on Monday the return of Hakim Ziyech to the Atlas Lions for the World Cup preliminaries in Qatar against Chile and Paraguay later this month.

Ziyech, a Chelsea winger, 29, has confirmed his retirement from international football following a dispute with former Bosnian coach Vahid Halilhodzic, which was one of the reasons that led to the latter’s dismissal from his post.

Regraki said during a press conference for his first squad since his appointment as head of technical management for the national team that “It was easy to communicate with Ziyech and I’m happy because we did everything in our power to bring him back and he agreed to return.

He added: “I spoke to him as a national coach and explained to him that we need the best players, and he is among them, and we cannot play in the World Cup final without a player of value and quality. Ziyech.

He continued, “Ziyach will give us an addition and he will come out to fight. Ziyech loves his country and showed it from the very beginning by choosing to defend the colors of the Moroccan national team like (Ashraf) Hakimi and (Nasir) Mazraoui unlike other players and for me a player who chooses his country I will help him but qualitatively”.

He added: “While he does not play regularly at Chelsea and this is the case for many international players at the London club who do not play regularly, a player like Hakim needs to be put in the best possible conditions to give us the best. and he is pleased with this, especially since he has been absent from the elect for more than a year and a half.
