Xavi announces his position on the departure of Aubameyang and De Jong from Barcelona

Barcelona head coach Javi Hernandez has shared his position on the departure of Dutch duo Frenkie de Jong and Gabonese Pierre Aubameyang from the Catalan team during the current summer transfer period.

Barcelona signed several contracts this summer, including Brazilian winger Rafinha, Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, Danish defender Andreas Christensen, France’s Jules Condé and Ivorian midfielder Franck Kissier.

In order to register all these players in the Spanish league, Barça may have to sell some of their players to cut costs.

It was reported that Aubameyang and De Jong would leave the Catalan club this summer.

During a press conference before the meeting with Barcelona and Rayo Vallecano, scheduled for tomorrow, on Saturday, as part of the first round of the championship of Spain, Xavi spoke about the future of Aubameyang and De Jong, saying: “Aubameyang? closing date for the summer transfer market), but I’m happy with Aubameyang.”

Regarding De Jong, Xavi said: “It’s important to me, but the transfer market is still open until the end of this month and we don’t know what will happen to him (De Jong).”

On the arrival of left-back Marcos Alonso from Chelsea, Xavi said: “I can’t talk about him now, tomorrow we have Jordi Alba”, who also plays as a left-back.
