“I will always respect Manchester City,” he concluded.
Barcelona have expressed a clear desire to sign Silva at the request of manager Xavi Hernandez, as part of a plan to bolster the team through big deals that began this summer.
Manchester City are not against the departure of the Portuguese, but demand 80 million euros in exchange for his refusal.
Barcelona are waiting for the departure of Dutch player Frenkie de Jong before submitting an offer to join Silva.
