WhatsApp does not intend to mandate two-step verification, unlike Google, which has done so. The option to skip the page and keep using the service will be available to users. The feature is still developing, even if you use the most recent beta build. It won’t be available on your device just yet.
Two-step verification has been a part of WhatsApp’s platform since it added it in 2016, making it almost six years old. It’s just that the business hasn’t actively promoted the choice to its customers. There is no excuse for you to disable this security feature if you regularly use WhatsApp. There are numerous benefits to using 2FA for all services. It is a crucial security feature that can prevent the wrong hands from accessing your account. When switching your WhatsApp account from one phone to another, two-step verification requires you to enter a PIN in addition to the SMS code sent to your number.
WhatsApp was also working on approving device logins in August of this year. When you attempt to move your WhatsApp account to another device, this security feature will display a login prompt on your current device. Two-factor verification is the only security measure you can add to your account to prevent scammers from accessing it easily until WhatsApp introduces this feature.
