Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova condemned the West’s attempts to portray the killer of Russian war correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky as a victim and its sympathy for her in her attack.
Zakharova said: “Vladin proved that today the front is everywhere, in the war zone and far from it and in cities, in hearts and minds. Many times he met death on the battlefield, the safe center of St. Petersburg was killed by a terrorist led by Ukrainian intelligence.”
And she added: six days have passed since the explosion in which Tatarsky was killed, and one of the “Western guardians of order, demanding freedom of information and the safety of journalists, did not say a word condemning this barbaric and shameful act.”
She said: “They have sympathy for the accused, because in the West they try to portray her as a victim.”
