Today, Friday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center reported that an earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale occurred in the west of France.
The center said that the shock was recorded at 18:38 local time, 14 km between the cities of Niort and La Rochelle, specifically in the city of Surzher with a population of 5.8 thousand people, at a depth of 10 km.
