"Welcome, who’s here?"Napoli sign Koulibaly replacement

Italian football club Napoli announced on Wednesday the signing of South Korean defender Kim Min Jae from Turkey’s Fenerbahce.

Italian club president Aurelio De Laurentiis tweeted “Welcome Ming Jay!” before Napoli followed suit without mentioning the value of the deal and its duration.

According to a number of local media, the deal amounted to about 20 million euros.

Defender Min Jay, 25, will have to fill the huge void left by the departure of Senegalese rocker Kalidou Koulibaly to Chelsea after wearing a Napoli shirt for 8 years.

The South Korean only had an orphan season with Fenerbahce in Turkey’s first division to score one goal after battling it out in the Chinese league against Beijing Guoan.

Min Jae has made 42 international appearances since 2017 and scored 3 goals but missed the last World Cup in Russia in 2018.
