US Secretary of State Anthony Blekin said the United States sees “no sign” that Russia is willing to engage with G20 diplomats during a meeting in Bali to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
“We have not seen any signs that Russia is ready to engage in substantive diplomacy (on this issue) … If there is an opportunity for diplomacy, we will use it,” Blinken said after meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
According to the US Secretary of State, Russia seemed isolated during the G20 foreign ministers’ meetings on the Indonesian island of Bali.
For her part, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on her channel on the Telegram platform today, Saturday, that the US Secretary of State is fabricating stories about the dismissal of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a meeting.
