Washington imposes sanctions against new Iranian companies

Washington has imposed sanctions on Iranian companies for allegedly “delivering drones to Russia,” while Moscow denies accusations of buying these drones and recalls that Russia is the second arms exporter in the world.

The document, published on the US Treasury Department website, indicated that the United States expanded the scope of its sanctions against Iran to include an individual and four entities, without specifying the type of restrictions in question.

According to the statement, OFAC has sanctioned three companies and one individual involved in the research, development, production and procurement of Iranian drones and their components.

For her part, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed that the buying rallies were not on the agenda of the talks between the Russian and Iranian foreign ministers at the end of August and were not discussed during President Putin’s meetings with his Iranian counterpart.
