Washington expresses "her disappointment" On negotiations with Iran

The US State Department expressed “disappointment” at the lack of “any progress” in indirect talks with Iran since Tuesday in Doha on a return to an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program.

On Wednesday, a US State Department spokesman said “the indirect talks in Doha have ended” and “we are disappointed that Iran has once again refused to respond positively to the EU initiative and therefore no progress has been made.”

Enrique Mora, the European envoy to the Iranian nuclear talks, said earlier that the Doha talks “have not yet made the progress that the EU team as coordinator had hoped for.”

In turn, the US official accused the Iranian side in an interview with Axios of “raising old issues that were settled a few months ago” and “new issues not related to the nuclear agreement.”
