Vinicius meets with Spanish President in Madrid to address aftermath of racism crisis

Brazilian Vinicius Junior, a Real Madrid winger, has received presidential support at the Royal Club after being subjected to racism.

This comes after Vinicius Junior was subjected to racist chants during a Real Madrid vs. Valencia match in the Spanish league yesterday, Sunday.

Vinicius was described by Valencia fans as a monkey in the bats’ stronghold at the Mestalla stadium, and the Brazilian striker reacted to this by citing racist chants from the hosts.

And the official account of Real Madrid on the social network “Twitter” published a video of the meeting between Vinicius Junior and club president Florentino Perez.

And the Real Madrid account wrote in the video: “The President of Real Madrid met with Vinicius Junior to express his support and affection to him, as well as to inform him of all the steps that will be taken to protect him and confirm that the club will take the maximum measures to counter hate speech”.
