Vinicius agrees to Perez’s personal request

Real Madrid striker Vinicius Júnior of Brazil has reportedly agreed to a request from club president Florentino Perez to extend his contract with the club.

Vinicius Jr’s contract with Real Madrid expires in the summer of 2024.

“In the coming days, Vinicius Junior will sign a new contract with Real Madrid until 2027,” Italian Fabrizio Romano, an expert on transfers of players and coaches in Europe, wrote on his Twitter account.

The Brazilian striker wanted to sign a contract with Real Madrid only until 2026.

And the Italian added: “Vinicius will sign a contract with Bezet for an additional season at the personal request of Florentino Perez, so the contract will last for five years.”

Romano concluded, “Pérez asked for it to avoid future problems, and Vinicius agreed.”

Spanish reports say the Real Madrid administration will raise Vinicius’ contract from €3m to €10m per season, one of the highest salaries in the team.
