Uzbekistan and Russia share equally the proceeds from the sale of apartments of the daughter of the ex-president of Uzbekistan

An Uzbek Justice Ministry official said his country and Russia would share equally the proceeds from the sale of apartments confiscated from Gulnara Karimova, daughter of his country’s first president.

In particular, the Deputy Minister of Justice of Uzbekistan, Mozrav Ikramov, said that Russia and Uzbekistan would share equally the proceeds from the sale of apartments confiscated by the court from the eldest daughter of the first president of the country, Gulnara Karimova, and that the process of their implementation is ongoing.

“In February last year, the Moscow City Court ruled, within the framework of Russian law, to confiscate six apartments in Moscow from Gulnara Karimova, which she received from criminal proceeds. The implementation of this decision is currently ongoing. The proceeds from the sale of the apartments will be divided equally between Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation.
