US stocks plummet after Fed rate hike

Wall Street stocks fell sharply on Wednesday after the Federal Reserve decided to raise interest rates by three-quarters of a point.

He pointed to the possibility of further tightening of monetary policy in the future in light of financial inflation.

The Dow Jones industrial index stopped the fall by 1.7 percent, fixing 30,183.78 points.

The broad-based S&P 500 also fell 1.7% to 3789.93, while the Nasdaq Technology Index fell 1.8% to 11220.19.
