Caroline Maloney, chair of the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Reform, expressed confidence that incumbent U.S. President Joe Biden will not run in the next presidential election in 2024.
And Maloney added in an interview with The New York Times in response to a question about whether Biden should again run for president: “Don’t write down what I’m going to say now. I don’t think he will run for a second term.”
The journalist then asked Maloney to answer the same question with her entry, and she said, “No, he doesn’t need to run again.”
Earlier, White House press secretary Karen Jean-Pierre confirmed the intention of the current US president to compete again for the presidency.
For their part, the media wrote that Biden spoke about this personally with former President Barack Obama.
