US expands list of sanctions against Russia

The US Treasury announced the expansion of the US sanctions list imposed on Russia to more than 50 people and 110 Russian institutions.

The sanctions list includes 57 individuals and 100 legal entities. Among the people are former Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov, his wife and children, as well as TV presenter Tina Kandelaki. Institutions include the Advanced Research Foundation, the KamAZ truck plant, the Tupolev Aviation Design Bureau, the Union of Donbass Volunteers, and several Russian research institutes.

The US also imposed a ban on the import of Russian gold.

At the same time, the US Treasury allowed a number of transactions with companies related to civil aviation and aircraft registered outside the Russian Federation, and also exempted its companies from certain transactions with the Russian company Rostec.
