US Deputy Secretary of State Bonnie Jenkins said that Washington is discussing with Moscow the possible timing of the resumption of mutual inspections under the START-3 treaty.
“We are currently looking into dates to meet with the Russians and discuss the resumption of inspections,” Jenkins said at a seminar in Washington on Thursday.
And she continued: “Therefore, we are committed to continuing the implementation of START-3, noting that Moscow continues to make notes to Washington regarding actions that fall under the treaty.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in late September that Moscow and Washington were exploring the possibility of holding a joint advisory committee meeting on the treaty.
