US decision on visas for Saudis

The U.S. Mission to Saudi Arabia has announced the extension of the visitor visas (B1/B2) for Saudi Arabian citizens from five to ten years effective August 1, 2022.

In a press statement, the US Mission explained that an agreement was reached to extend the validity of visitor visas through close cooperation with the Kingdom’s government and on a reciprocal basis to promote tourism and business between the two countries.

The statement noted that “facilitating travel makes a significant contribution to the prosperity of the economies of the United States and Saudi Arabia,” in addition to “advancing business partnerships and further strengthening mutual understanding between the citizens of the United States and Saudi Arabia.”
