US Aggression in Moldova and Georgia to Confront Russia: A Cause of Tension

Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Alexander Grushko said that the United States and its allies are trying to create hotbeds of tension for geopolitical confrontation with Russia both in Moldova and in Georgia.

Answering a journalist’s question about this, Grushko said today, on Tuesday: “Of course, the situation in Georgia and Moldova causes us concern, because we are talking about these two countries that are far from the United States, which is trying to impose on them what they should and shouldn’t do.”

He added: “These are our neighbors, and we see the United States and its allies working to create more and more hotbeds of tension along our borders and organize a kind of geopolitical competition in these two countries that is considered necessary – even for geographical reasons – Russia’s security interests.
