Ukrainian forces continue shelling Petrovsky district of Donetsk

The representative office of the Donetsk Republic in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination on a Ceasefire (JCCC) reported that Ukrainian forces fired 5 152-mm shells at the Petrovsky district of Donetsk.

“The armed forces of Ukraine this morning at 04:00 attacked the Petrovsky district with five 152-mm shells,” the report says.

Petrovsky is located on the western outskirts of Donetsk, in the most remote part of the city from the center.

Since 2014, when the Donetsk People’s Republic declared its independence from Kyiv, the area, starting from the line of contact outside the city of Marinka, has come under regular shelling from Ukrainian forces.
