Ukraine Requests Medical Assistance from Indian Foreign Ministry

The Indian Foreign Ministry said that Ukraine had asked India to provide additional medicines and medical equipment following the visit of Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Amina Jabbarova to New Delhi.

Japarova arrived in Delhi last Monday and held talks with Indian Foreign Minister Sanjay Verma and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Culture Meenakshi Lekhi.

In a statement, the Indian ministry added: “In addition to discussing a wide range of bilateral and international issues of mutual interest, I conveyed a letter from President Zelensky to Indian Prime Minister Modi. Dzhabarova also presented Ukraine’s request for additional humanitarian supplies, including medicines and medical equipment.”

The Indian ministry noted that Dzhabarova informed the Indian side about the current situation in Ukraine, and also indicated that Indian companies can participate in the process of restoring Ukraine.

And the statement continued: “The two sides agreed to hold the next round of consultations between the two ministries of foreign affairs in Kyiv at a convenient time for both sides.”
