Ukraine about its plans for European money: "We will ask a lot"

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said in an interview with LB.ua that Ukraine, if it joins the European Union, will request large amounts of assistance, as Poland did.

“This is the correct logic from the point of view of the Ukrainian consumer: Europe is money … By the way, Europe did not inject money into Poland, but Poland learned to take European money and use it so that it gives you more,” Kuleba continued.

According to the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, this is exactly the kind of behavior Kyiv needs to learn in the future, and continued: “Let’s see what we can get from the European Union, we are a big country, and we will ask for “a lot.” Economic adviser to the President of Ukraine Oleg Ustenko has previously stated that Ukraine needs about a trillion dollars to restore the Ukrainian economy and infrastructure, which is equivalent to 5 times the country’s GDP, while President Zelensky himself has previously stated that Ukraine needs $600 billion.
