UK expands sanctions against Russia to include new individuals

Today, the UK has expanded sanctions against Russia, which were introduced under the pretext of a military operation, and the new package has affected Russian citizens, officials and businessmen.

And according to a statement from the British government, the new package of restrictions has affected billionaire Russian businessman Vladimir Potanin.

The new British sanctions also affected the Kolmar coal group and its main owner, Anna Tsiliyeva.

The US also announced that it and the European Union have frozen more than $330 billion in Russian assets since March 16, when the first meeting of the “Russian Elite Working Group” was held.

After Russia launched a special operation in Ukraine, Western countries, including the UK, imposed a package of sanctions on individuals, companies and sectors of the economy in Russia.
