The British newspaper The Independent reported that the asylum seeker fled his residence in Buckinghamshire on charges of raping a minor.

Police arrested a 39-year-old man on October 5 after receiving reports of a rape charge against a teenager, he was under investigation before being released on bail on the condition that he return to complete the investigation in early January. .

On Wednesday, Conservative MP Greg Smith reported on the escape of the accused asylum seeker in the House of Commons, saying: “This morning Buckinghamshire Council received information from outside the London Borough that an asylum seeker under investigation for a very serious crime, was removed. to the Asylum Hotel in Buckingham. But he has since disappeared.”

“This is completely unacceptable,” he added, asking that every effort be made to arrest him.

For its part, a spokesman for the Interior Ministry stated that the terms of the suspect’s release on bail are up to the police and they have no authority to arrest him, pointing out that there is no evidence of his escape.
