UEFA Champions League match postponed for security reasons

The European Football Association (UEFA) has announced that the match between Napoli and Rangers in the second round of the Champions League group stage will be postponed by 24 hours to take place next Wednesday instead of Tuesday.

The European Union said in a statement today, Sunday, that the Napoli-Rangers match will take place on 14 September at 21:00 CET instead of the 13th of the same month due to safety and regulatory concerns.

The reason for changing the date of this match is due to the aftermath of the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the associated postponement of all football matches in England this week as a sign of “respect” for the British Queen, who was the last to die. Thursday.

UEFA has also decided to move the Champions League match between Napoli and Rangers from Tuesday 13 September to Wednesday 14 September at 15:00 CET.

Napoli picked up a massive 4-1 victory over their guest Liverpool in the first round of the first Champions League group stage, while Rangers suffered a massive four unanswered defeat by host Ajax.
