UAE buys over $2.7 billion worth of Iranian goods

According to Iranian customs statistics, the value of UAE imports from Iran reached two billion and more than $700 million in the first five months of this year.

Customs spokesman Ruhollah Latifi announced that his country’s non-oil trade with 15 neighboring countries increased in value and weight by 24 percent over the period compared to the previous year.

According to statistics provided by Latifi, the UAE imported 5 million tons of non-oil goods from Iran worth $2 billion 781 million and came in second in terms of imports from Iran after Iraq, which bought 8 million 655 thousand tons of goods worth $2 billion 961 million. .

Turkey ranked third with the purchase of 3 million 682 thousand tons of Iranian goods worth $2 billion 328 million.

According to Iran’s customs statistics, the value of exports to neighboring countries from the beginning of the year to the end of August last year amounted to $10 billion 723 million to neighboring countries, which is 27 percent more than the corresponding period last year. prior year.
