Two people died in a plane crash in Illinois, USA

Two people were killed in a light aircraft crash on a road in central Hana City, Illinois, in the western United States.

The plane crashed around 12:30 p.m. local time on Route 116 in the Hana City area, about 290 kilometers southwest of Chicago, Peoria County officials said.

Peoria County Coroner Jimmy Harwood said two unidentified people, a man and a woman, were killed and that the bodies would be autopsied on Monday, the Peoria Journal Star reported.

And the American media indicated that the plane crashed into several buildings, and people heard the sound of the plane crashing over the Wings and Fries restaurant.

There were no immediate reports of other injuries.

The road was closed Saturday afternoon as emergency crews cleared debris.

The National Transportation Safety Board said it was investigating the crash of the Money M20K.
