Turkish Interior Ministry: We prevented a terrorist attack in northern Syria

Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu said the attack by the PKK/BYD terrorist organization was prevented in the area of ​​the Euphrates shield in northern Syria.

Soylu said in a statement via his Twitter account yesterday, Saturday, that Turkish security intelligence teams prevented an attack that was planned to take place in the city of Jarabulus.

He added that as a result of the operation, 10 kilograms of materials ready for explosion were seized.

According to the Turkish Anadolu agency, “the Turkish army succeeded in the framework of Operation Euphrates Shield, launched on August 24, 2016, to clear 2,055 square kilometers of territory in northern Syria, including the city of Al-Bab, from terrorist elements.”
