Turkish Foreign Minister: Macron’s latest statements "unhappy"

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu described French President Emmanuel Macron’s recent statements as “deplorable” after Macron accused Ankara of creating networks spreading anti-national propaganda.

At a press conference with her French counterpart Catherine Colonna in Ankara, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that his country is among the most authoritative countries and is a reliable partner, and it is wrong to deal with Turkey as a competitor. The African continent as an equal partner.

Macron said during a visit to Algeria last week that there are networks run by Russia, China and Turkey carrying out “anti-French propaganda” in Africa.
