Turkish exports to Russia up 46% in June

The Turkish Statistical Institute reported that Turkish goods exports to Russia in June increased by 46% compared to 2021 and by 52% compared to last month.

According to published data, in June the Turks earned about $791.4 million, while in May this amount was $518.8 million.

Among the most exported goods are fruits and nuts. Sales of cars, equipment and necessary components also increased significantly.

According to experts, if European countries continue to reduce supplies due to sanctions, Turkey may take fourth or fifth place in the list of largest exporting countries to Russia after China, Belarus, Germany and Kazakhstan.

In addition, between January and June, Russia was the leader in deliveries to Turkey worth $27.7 billion, accounting for approximately 16 percent of Russia’s total imports.
