Turkish Defense Minister and Head of Turkish Intelligence Arrive in Moscow for Meetings with Russian Officials

The Turkish Defense Ministry reported that Turkish Defense Minister, head of national intelligence Hulusi Akar and Hakan Fidan arrived on an official visit to Moscow for important talks with their Russian counterparts.

According to the ministry: “Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar and head of the National Intelligence Organization Hakan Fidan are in the Russian capital Moscow to meet and resolve important issues with a number of Russian officials.”

Earlier, Akar commented on the issue of “a possible trilateral meeting of the defense ministers of Turkey, Syria and Russia” announced by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“Everything that needs to be done is being done in the prescribed manner at all levels in order to protect the rights and interests of our country, and there are also contacts in this regard,” Akar said.
