On Wednesday, the Turkish Interior Ministry announced the arrest of 5 ISIS leaders who were “planning the attack.”
The ministry explained that its forces in Gaziantep arrested Ramo Muhammad al-Hamad “when he was planning to commit a terrorist attack.”
She pointed out that al-Hamad, who is in charge of the ISIS judiciary, was released from the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) prisons from al-Kaf prison in al-Hasakah, eastern Syria, in exchange for his release to the city of Jarabulus, which is part of Operation Euphrates Shield, the Turkish Interior Ministry said in a statement.
