Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Turkey does not allow terrorist attacks on its territory and cooperates with Israel in the field of security.
During a press conference with his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid, the Turkish Foreign Minister announced that Ankara had begun the process of upgrading its diplomatic representation in Israel to the level of an ambassador.
For his part, the Israeli Foreign Minister said that Iran was behind the terrorist attempts he uncovered in Turkey to target Israeli citizens in Istanbul.
He added that Ankara could retaliate against Iran for its attempts to target the Israelis in Turkey.
