Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz arrived Wednesday evening in the Turkish capital Ankara at the beginning of an official visit, during which he will hold important talks with the Turkish side.
In a tweet, Gantz said: “I am starting an official visit to Turkey, during which I will meet Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar. ministers of the two countries, and I welcome this”
In a second tweet, he added: “I look forward to fruitful discussions on ways to enhance security, stability and peace in the Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean.”
The Israeli minister will hold official talks today, Thursday, with his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar at the headquarters of the Turkish Ministry of Defense in the Turkish capital Ankara after an official reception for the guard of honor review that will be organized for the Israeli minister by his Turkish counterpart, and these talks will be the first at this level between the two countries.
