Erbash continued: “Our mission is to eradicate evil and turn it into good. Muslims must remain vigilant, read, understand, protect and respect our holy book, and we must instill this spirit in our children and youth.”

Rasmus Paludan, leader of the far-right Stram Kors (hard line) party in Sweden, burned a Quran in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm after having previously received permission from the Swedish authorities to hold the march. however, many countries condemned these actions.

For his part, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said earlier that after the burning of the Koran, Sweden should not count on Turkey’s support for its request to join NATO.
