Turkey. Exports in local currency grew by 109 percent in August

Turkey’s exports in local currency in August increased by 109 percent compared to the same month in 2021.

According to data compiled by Anadolu Agency from the Ministry of Commerce, today, Saturday, the total value of exports in Turkish currency was 10 billion 382 million lira (one dollar is equivalent to 18.20 lira) during August.

The volume of foreign trade in Turkish liras in August last year amounted to 34 billion 177 million liras.

It is noteworthy that the total export volume for August increased by 13 percent compared to the same month in 2021 and reached $21.3 billion.

The agency indicated that the value of Turkish exports in the first eight months of this year was $165.5 billion.
